17 March 2017, Parmeshar Dwar – Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale has released a special recording in order to give some information to the Sikh Sangat, as well as a message to those people threatening him, using vulgar language against him and opposing the Gurmat Parchar.

Controversy has been stirred recently about comments made by the Sikh Parcharak on the history of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s time at Baba Bakala, specifically comments made on the claims that Guru Sahib Ji spent 26 years in a ‘Bhora’. Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa provided references for the source of the information and more crucially the fact that any history must always be seen under the light of Gurbani.

Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa said whether it is a book or a Kathavachak or it is him, information can be gathered from all but it can only be accepted if it is in line with Gurbani. Many will reference texts such as the Suraj Parkash, often used as a basis for Katha in the Gurdwara’s, but if these groups do not stop enforcing their views then each line of such writings will need to be looked at. If they do not stop, then there may come a time when a lot of stories that has been promoted over the years will need to be examined under the light of Gurbani to check their authenticity.

There can be no doubt that history is important, but there is also no doubt that some elements of it can often very easily be distorted. Gurmat cannot be distorted.

Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa gave examples of stories which claim Guru Nanak Dev Ji had used ‘Bhang’ (an edible preparation of cannabis), that there was an event when Guru Gobind Singh Ji had a craving for this drug in the Machhiwara jungle?? Such unthinkable claims are made within these writings, writings often quoted by Kathavachaks from Gurdwara stages. There is a story that the Sahibzada of Guru Arjan Dev Ji had a sickness and Guru Arjan Dev Ji went to the Durgiana Mandir to do ‘Pooja’ worship of the ‘Mata’ (even though Bhai Kahn Singh Nabha said the Durgiana Mandir was not even made until 1905)?

“Can we ever accept such history as fact, would Guru Arjan Dev Ji go to a Mandir and worship a goddess?” he questioned. Such history of Guru Arjan Dev Ji is conflicting to the message Guru Ji gave us in Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj.

Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa said he too has told stories from these writings in the past, not knowing the facts at that time. There is no shame in killing ones ego and admitting one could be mistaken – only Gurbani is always right and it must always be given precedence over ones personal ego or fear of losing a reputation status. What is the worth of our so-called personal status if we are not willing to compromise it to upkeep the status of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, even when Guru Granth Sahib Ji’s logic categorically makes our views invalid?

Speaking to those who are opposing him, Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa said in the recording, “The Chabeel group continue to make threats but I am always ready for your Chabeels, chop off my head but even then I will say that the truth is what is written in Guru Granth Sahib Ji.”

“You must completely put out of your mind any delusion that you will scare me with your threats and vulgar language in order to change the Parchar of truth based on Guru Granth Sahib Ji, not even in your dreams will that ever happen, no matter what the consequences”.

Guru Granth Sahib Ji will remain to be the base of Sikhi Parchar. Many lies have been invented and fed to Sikhs over the years that even some distorted history has been embedded into our thinking. Only if we read and try to understand Guru Granth Sahib Ji ourselves will many truths unfold. It is fact that when differing thoughts are spoken, when there is something new to what we are used to of hearing, then there will undoubtedly be noise. If Guru Granth Sahib Ji is trying to tell us something, then we must not attempt to oppose it using stories that may well not be our authentic history.

No matter what Jathebandhi organisation they are affiliated with, those who want to understand the truth with an open mind have already begun to do so.

“I am not ashamed of being a brother and rejecting the former titles of Sant and Baba, I have not come from the missionary line, I have come from their line and I know exactly what happens - If they will quote parts of history to challenge the Parchar of truth, then when I open up that history and look into those stories, on that day they will not know where to run, remember this”.

Bhai Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale also said he has been informed that some individuals claim to speak on his behalf, but clarified that no person has been given any authority to do so from him - he is accountable for only the recorded live statements he gives from the Parchar stages in his own voice, which are then uploaded online to official Facebook pages and YouTube channels.
