ਨੂੰ ਛੋਹ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਮਿਸਾਲ ਮਲੇਸ਼ੀਆ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਕੁਆਲਾਲੰਪੁਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ
ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਖੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਲਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦਾ ਚੀਫ ਇਕ ਸਿੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਥਾਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਆਲਾਲੰਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੁਲਸ ਮੁਖੀ ਦਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮਲੇਸ਼ੀਆ ਵਿਚ ਇਸ ਵੱਡੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ 'ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪਹਿਲਾ
ਸਿੱਖ ਹੈ। ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਪਿਛੋਕੜ ਪੁਲਸ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ 1939 ਵਿਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਤੋਂ ਮਲੇਸ਼ੀਆ ਆਏ ਸਨ। ਇੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਪੁਲਸ
ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸੇਵਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ। 1971 ਵਿਚ ਈਸ਼ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਪੁਲਸ ਤੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਮੁਕਤ
ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ 1990 ਵਿਚ 80 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਦਿਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਅਮਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ
ਬੇਗਾਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਪੁਲਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵਿਚ ਇੰਨਾਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਅਹੁਦਾ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ,
ਜਿਸ 'ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਿੱਖ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਾ ਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਮਾਣ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 21 ― Kuala Lumpur Police
Chief Datuk Tajuddin Md Isa has been appointed as deputy director of
Commercial Crimes Investigation Department (CCID), Bukit Aman (Federal
Police Headquarters), effective yesterday.
Tajuddin replaced Datuk Hamza Taib who retired on March 14, said head of
Corporate Communications, Inspector-General of Police Secretariat, Datin
Asmawati Ahmad in a statement today.
The new Kuala Lumpur police chief is Datuk Amar
Singh Ishar Singh, who was the deputy director of Criminal
Investigation Department (CID), Bukit Aman.
Amar Singh is replaced by Kuala Lumpur Police deputy chief Datuk Law
Hong Soon, while the Federal Reserve Unit Commander, Bukit Aman, Datuk
Abdul Hamid Mohd Ali replaced Law.
Deputy director of E1 Special Branch, Bukit Aman, Datuk Mohd Sofian Md
Makinuddin and deputy director 1 of Special Branch, Datuk Mohd Haniff
were promoted from Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) to Commissioner
of Police (CP).
Principal assistan director of Integrity and Standard Compliance (JIPS)(Religion
and Counseling) Bukit Aman, Datuk Dr Ab. Rahman Ismail was promoted to
deputy director JIPS (Integrity), with the rank of DCP.
Head of Pahang Police Contingent Special Branch, Datuk Riduan Hashim was
transferred to E4 Special Branch, Bukit Aman, as principal assistant
director with the rank of DCP.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Md Rusli Mat Junus was appointed
as Special Forces chief of staff, Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM),
with the rank of Senior Assistant Commissioner (SAC). He was deputy
commander of the Marine Operations Force, Bukit Aman.
Kuching Police chief ACP Roslan Bek Ahmad was promoted to Southeast
Brigade Commander, General Operations Force with the post of acting SAC.
His post was taken over by ACP Abang Ahmad Abang Julai who served the
administration division of Sarawak Police contingent.
Subang Jaya Police chief ACP Yahaya Ramli was promoted to head of Crime
Prevention and Community Safety Department, Johor Police contingent,
with the rank of acting SAC. ― Bernama
