ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ, 29 ਮਾਰਚ : ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਪੰਥਕ ਵਕੀਲ ਐਡਵੋਕੇਟ ਨਵਕਿਰਨ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ
ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਤੇ ਰੋਕ ਆਰਜ਼ੀ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਇਹ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਵੀ
ਹਟ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਭਾਈ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜਿੰਦਾ ਤੇ ਭਾਈ ਸੁਖਦੇਵ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੁੱਖਾ
ਦੀ 1992 ਵਿਚ ਹੋਈ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਵੇਲੇ ਵੀ ਇੰਝ ਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂਕਿ 8 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ
ਤੇ ਰੋਕ ਖਤਮ ਕਰਕੇ 9 ਅਕਤੂਬਰ 1992 ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦੇ ਦਿਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ
ਕਿਹਾ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਾਈ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਰਾਜੋਆਣਾ ਦੀ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਤੇ ਰੋਕ ਵੀ 30 ਮਾਰਚ ਦੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ
ਹਟਾਕੇ 31 ਮਾਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਫਾਂਸੀ ਦਿਤੀ ਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।

death sentence of Balwant Singh Rajoana has been temporarily stayed till the
matter is decided by the President Of India on representations filed by SGPC
and DSGPC for commutation of death sentence of Balwant Singh.
We have to go a long way to save Balwant
Singh Rajoana from being hanged and tomorrow even Jagtar Singh Hawara can be
sentenced to death, since CBI has appealed against the judgment of his
sentence being reduced to life imprisonment by Punjab & Haryana high court.
So we can rest for some time and recoup our
energies, but the battle has as yet not been won. We must ensure that no body
should be given Death Penalty, as it is inhuman to kill someone through Death
Penalty. We must ensure that India becomes a Death Penalty free country and
adopts alternative forms of punishment.
